We make spouted stand-up and flat pouches, with a welded spout and cap for liquids and gels, and the spout is an option on our quote form. What this page does not promise is a particular cap. Baby brands often want a child-safe or anti-choke cap, and that is something we confirm per job rather than publish. Tell us the cap you need, the fill volume and how the puree is filled, and we confirm on the quote what we can make. You find out what is possible before your artwork is finished, not after.

Ask us when you quote, before anything else. Many shelf-stable purees are hot-filled or retorted, and both put heat on the pouch and its seals. We do not quote either from this page. If your process heats the pouch when it is filled or after it is sealed, say so on the quote form, and our production team confirms whether a build exists for it before we price anything. Puree sold chilled or frozen is a different job, and we can spec a cold-rated build for it. Settling this first saves you designing around a pouch your process cannot use.

The layer against your baby food is food-grade polyethylene or cast polypropylene, and the inks sit on the outside of the laminate with the barrier layers between them and the product. We can supply a Certificate of Analysis, a food contact declaration and a safety data sheet on request. Baby food buyers often ask for more, such as a BPA statement or a named certification. If yours does, ask us when you quote and we will tell you what we can provide before you order. That way your label never promises something the paperwork cannot back.

A stand-up pouch with a zipper is the usual choice for anything a parent opens many times, and a flat pouch suits single servings for a diaper bag. Puffs and melts are a moisture problem, because they go soft in humid air, so they need a real barrier film rather than plain clear. Fine powders such as baby cereal can clog a standard zipper, so we offer a fine-powder zipper on flat and stand-up pouches. Get the film and the closure right and the last serving in the bag is as crisp as the first.

For dry baby foods, yes: mono-PE, made from a single plastic family, either plain or with an EVOH layer for a stronger barrier. A conventional laminate is several plastics bonded together and is not recyclable. Purees are harder. EVOH does not suit damp or chilled product, which leaves plain mono-PE, and the spout and cap are part of the pack too. For a spouted puree pouch, ask us when you quote and we will confirm the whole build before you print a recycling claim. A claim that holds up to a retailer's questions is worth more than one that does not.

One hundred per design for stand-up, flat and pillow pouches, and the spouted stand-up pouches we have quoted start at the same 100. Side gusset, quad seal and flat bottom bags start at 500 per design. Each flavor or stage is its own design, so a range of four purees at 100 each is 400 pouches. That lets a new brand put a fully printed range in front of stores and parents before committing to volume, instead of launching in a plain pouch with a sticker.
